We are aware of the issues that can breakdown the relationship between the Parent and child and ripple into the relationships of other family members. We offer parents and carers the support they need to help them reclaim and establish positive relationships with their family members. Through our parenting assessments we tailor programmes with proven strategies which will build confidence, raise self-esteem and enhance relationships, creating a happier family unit.
We take a holistic approach into rebuilding the family unit and alongside the parenting programme we offer Functional Family Therapy. This way of working shifts the focus away from negative and blaming interactions, to a helpful and supportive way of building and strengthening relationships in families. It also aims to help the family to learn new and helpful ways to understand each other and develop positive family relationships which can then help with other areas of the young person’s life, such as education, employment and community engagement.
Some people simply feel there is “something wrong” and want space to explore their thoughts and feelings.
